sometimes, when i’m writing and i want to explain the way someone looks - like the way their face is drawn, how their mouth is quirked, the way their eyes appear, etc - instead of simply saying “surprised” or “upset,” i go to google images and look at pictures of people with these emotions and study the way their face looks so its more realistic.
